Interactive Dancefloor is an installation I collaborated on that makes it possible for anyone to create music. The installation incudes, eleven linoleum tiles, two computers, two makey makeys, and lots and lots of wire. Each tile, when stepped on, completes a circuit with an input on the makey makey controlling various audio and sound effects on the computers. I designed the sound effects/loops/samples as well as programmed the functionalities of the makey makeys using Arduino, while Mahon Yoder, programmed a MaxMSP/Vizzie patch to design the video effects/samples. Our third collaborator, Kevin O'Leary, constructed the installation's wiring and set-up. A video and various photos can be seen below, sampling the installation as well as documenting its creation.
